Every now and then a new material gets introduced to the playground. Since we’re at the end of winter and the kids have been spending more and more time inside, they needed something that was going to encourage some big movements during their shortened outdoor time. These large wooden planks did the trick.
They were lifting, climbing, balancing, dragging and pushing. They built a HUGE obstacle course with bridges, teeter totters, loopty-loops and “tight ropes”. They even made a second story and new entrances for the play house. They loved it! The kids are now excited to go outside to work on their projects and make them bigger and better!
