For the next couple of weeks we are going to be working on making self portraits out of clay. Today at circle we felt our faces– the parts that stick out, the parts that go in, the size and shape of each feature. We talked about how clay is different from pen and paper because you actually get to build parts that you want to stick out and carve parts that you’d like to go in. The group today was very excited to test out their growing knowledge about clay. I was amazed by the time and attention each child put into this work today!

  1. Loved to see how different Synny’s was from last year to this. Even did her half shaved head! Fun to see!
