Today the children who are leaving Tulip Tree completed work on a prayer flag to hang in the commons.  As the children understand it, a prayer flag contains well wishes that will be blown about the surrounding community by the wind.  This project involved some abstract reflection and artistic expression as well as more concrete tasks such as gathering natural materials for dying cloth, measuring and sewing.

Seamus and Tycho measure the length, preparing to assemble and hang our prayer flag.

We hope you will all join us tomorrow night for our end of the year gathering!

  1. The prayer flags turned out great, and I love the reminder of all the friends who are moving on. We will miss you!
