The numbers are in…

by Katee

Our community fundraising has been a huge success!  Today in circle we held hands and thanked each other for all of our hard work.  Every student had a hand in baking, sign making, flyer making, song writing and singing, being a salesperson, inviting family and friends, and helping to count our donations.  All of our hard work together has really paid off, and many families in our greater community will benefit from all of the very generous donations we have received. Today we added up all the diapers, all the wipes, all the dollar bills, checks, and coins and our final numbers are in!  All together we have…

742 disposable diapers!

44 cloth diapers!

288 wipes!

And $342.12!

Thank you to everyone for making this possible for the families of our town, and making this experience possible for our children here at Tulip Tree!  What a wonderful way to feel connected to something outside of ourselves, outside of our own homes and outside of our school. The children all engaged in this meaningful project and seem very proud. We talked today about how we may never hear a “thank you” from the people who receive this much-needed assistance, but we can know in our hearts that we worked hard to help and that our hard work is making a big difference!
