As many of you know we have been working on making masks out of recycled materials for the past few weeks. Projects like these remind me of the importance of process over product. The process has been long because almost everyone is interested in participating and it involves multiple stages of things drying. Many children decided to paint their mask multiple times which I thought was a beautiful demonstration of how dynamic art can be. I have a feeling that some of them would just continue to add and add to their masks never quite feeling finished. Below are a few pictures of the various stages our masks are at. They will be on display in the hallway in the next couple weeks!
