The February fake out was especially dramatic this year. With temperatures soaring into the 60’s and the sun shining for weeks, we thought we were almost there. And then…we had a few snow days. The snow on the fresh new green grass that had sprouted in the backyard was especially dramatic this year. About a week before the snow the children and I planted pea seeds in some newly laid soil, and we wonder, will those seeds come up, or did the snow scare them away and put them back to sleep? We’ve been wondering about that this past week and checking the planter boxes each day. We’ve also be curious about all of the tree’s and plants that remain green throughout the winter.

Here’s some scenes from our snowy days and from an art project that was inspired by new grass and evergreen trees in our backyard.
